Andrés D. Santiago López
Andrés D. Santiago López holds a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2021. Andrés also pursued legal studies abroad at the University of Barcelona, served actively in student leadership at the UPR, and interned with the Hon. Jay A. García-Gregory at the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico. Before joining ADSUAR, he engaged in a tenured clerkship at the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals and worked as part of the defense team in various high-profile public corruption cases.
As an attorney in our firm’s litigation department, Andrés has distinguished himself for his strategic outlook, interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving and as a fierce advocate of our client’s interests at the trial and appellate level. In addition to his work at ADSUAR, he is the co-founder of a non-profit organization focused on voter education and outreach in Puerto Rico.

- Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc., as co-counsel in a Law 75 litigation brought by overreaching local distributor.
- Payco Foods Corporation, as co-counsel in a tortious interference lawsuit brought by a competing distributor.
- Federación Puertorriqueña de Futbol (FPF), co-counsel representing the national football association in an antitrust and civil RICO litigation in federal court.
- Caribe Tecno, CRL, as co-counsel in complex administrative law procedures and appellate litigation against municipality and private parties.
- Tidal Basin Caribe, LLC, as co-counsel in various administrative process and appeals related to competitive government bidding for disaster recovery and mitigation services.

- CENCOR, engaged as lead external counsel, our team successfully presented novel non-profit exemption requests for client before the IRS and Hacienda.
- Boutique Hotels, Inc., as lead counsel in a commercial dispute and torts litigation against crypto-investor Brock Pierce, and affiliate companies, related to various real estate investments in Puerto Rico.
- Life Link de Puerto Rico, as co-counsel in a medical malpractice case.
- Represented a non-profit corporation dedicated to fostering youth sports development and the legacy of Roberto Clemente, in a constitutional challenge to Law 67-2022 and donation contract dispute against the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
- Represented a pharmaceutical company in a complex LLC-member dispute for control of plant operating company and its parent entity. Successfully litigated provisional remedies in our client’s favor, including a court-appointed trustee to manage the plant’s operation.
- Worked as part of the defense team involved in various high-profile public corruption cases in Puerto Rico, including U.S. v. Keleher, et al. and U.S. v. Delgado Montalvo.
- Worked as part of the defense team in RICO Act organized crime cases in Puerto Rico and the USVI: U.S. v. Millán-Machuca, et al. and U.S. v. Girard, et al.
