Miguel E. Carbonell Astor
Miguel E. Carbonell-Astor received his B.S. from Boston College and earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. His practice focuses on real estate, corporate and tax law, particularly on matters related to the tax benefits available for individual investors and export service businesses under Puerto Rico’s Act 60 of July 1, 2019. While Miguel primarily assists his clients with the procurement of such tax benefits, he also provides counselling on corporate governance, as well as on matters related to business reorganizations and real estate transactions. Prior to joining ADSUAR in 2015, Miguel worked as an attorney in the Corporate Department of another San Juan-based law firm, where he advised banks and other financial institutions on regulatory matters associated with the disposal of commercial loans and REO portfolios.
